Drawing-Based CNC Manufacturing / Engineering Application

Custom Machined Parts for Industrial & Test Equipment

Grandmec supports specialist machine builders with custom shafts, bushings, housings, guides, rollers, fixtures and equipment brackets. Projects can range from prototype assemblies to planned repeat-batch supply.

Application Scope

Industrial Machinery & Test Equipment

Downtime, obsolete parts, repeat supply and incomplete drawings require clear manufacturing and design responsibilities before work begins.

Engineering Review

Engineering Points Before Manufacture

A drawing review is more useful when the functional interfaces and approved acceptance requirements are clear. Engineering design consultancies can use the same route for prototype iteration and transfer into repeat production.

  • Define operating conditions and mating components
  • Identify critical dimensions and expected demand
  • Confirm whether drawings and material specifications are available for replacement parts
  • Agree reverse-engineering and design responsibilities before manufacture
Requirements at a Glance
Component scope
Custom shafts, bushings, housings, guides, rollers, fixtures and equipment brackets.
Material and surface
Specified by the drawing and reviewed against operating conditions, wear, corrosion and cleaning requirements.
Critical inputs
Mating components, critical dimensions, operating conditions, expected demand and available drawings or specifications.
Batch approach
Prototype, pilot and small-to-medium repeat batches reviewed against the approved requirement.
Drawing inputs
CAD model and dimensioned drawing, with revision status, material, quantity and critical features.
Inspection
Critical dimensions, documentation and acceptance criteria confirmed for the individual project.
Limitations
Tolerance, process route, finish, testing and delivery timing remain project-specific until technical review.
Scope boundary

Food and packaging machinery, plus marine and outdoor industrial equipment, are covered here only as component-specific requirements. Food-contact requirements and environmental or material suitability must be confirmed for the individual component.

Industrial Machinery & Test Equipment FAQ

Answers are shown below for direct review. Final feasibility follows the approved drawing and project-specific requirements.

Can a replacement component be made from a sample?+

A sample can support review, but dimensions, material, wear condition and functional requirements must be established. Reverse-engineering and design responsibilities should be agreed before manufacture.

How are food packaging and marine or outdoor equipment handled?+

Food and packaging machinery, and marine or outdoor industrial equipment, are addressed here as component-specific applications. Food-contact requirements, cleaning conditions, corrosion environment, finish selection and material suitability must be confirmed for the actual part; they are not assumed from its end-use sector.
